RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for a high gain, 10W GaN amplifier targeted at S-band RADAR applications. The TriQuint TGA2583-SM offers 33dB of gain and >50% PAE from 2.7 to 3.7GHz. Saturated output power is rated at 40.5dBm from a 25-32 volt supply providing 175mA. The TGA2583-SM can be operated in CW or pulse mode as the 5x5mm AC-QQFM package provides good thermal management for PCB mounted designs. Complementary to the TGA2583-SM is TriQuint’s higher power TGA2585-SM, an 18W, packaged GaN amplifier.

RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for two BAW filters targeting applications where 2.4GHz WLAN, Bluetooth and Wi-FI products must coexist with 4G LTE and TD-LTE signals. TriQuint’s 885062 and 885071 coexistence filters offer high rejection in adjacent LTE bands yet come in an industry-leading small package measuring 1.4×1.2×0.46mm. Small size does not compromise power handling as both the 885062 and 885071 meet a 28dBm average power rating allowing circuit placement immediately following a final power amplifier.  With extended temperature performance over -40 to +95 degrees Celsius and hermetically sealed for outdoor application, the 885062 and 885071 are even…

RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for Peregrine Semiconductors’ 10MHz to 8GHz SP4T switch. The PE42441 combines low insertion loss of 1dB with high isolation of 39dB (measured at 6GHz). Internal 50 ohm terminations give this absorptive switch a P0.1dB compression point of 31dB, a significant competitive advantage for target applications in wireless infrastructure and wireless connectivity. Peregrine’s PE42441 high isolation characteristics reduce the need for additional components and the Peregrine UltraCMOS process eliminates the need for DC blocking capacitors thereby reducing overall BOM costs. Available in a 5x5mm QFN, the PE42441 uses 1.8 or 3V control voltages and…

RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for two, DC-3.5GHz power transistors from TriQuint. Available in either a flanged or earless Gemini package as the T1G4020036-FL and T1G4020036-FS respectively, the devices provide two independent 120W paths. Linear gain measures 16dB at 2.9GHz. A low thermal resistance base material supports applications in RADAR, communications and avionics. Both the T1G4020036-FL and T1G4020036-FS run off a 36V supply and offer efficiencies in excess of 50%.
